Going thru this ice storm? Its been about 29*F all day with rain. Theres about a half inch build up on the tree limbs. A few small branches is laying in the yard. Pines are bent down. The roads have been clear for the most part. At this time the roads are just now icing up. At least the power is still on for now. The rain is surpose to turn to snow after midnight. Just wait and see whats to deal with in the morning. Good luck to anyone else that is dealing with this.

We also just had 6" of snow melt in 12 hours right before the temps dropped and the rain started. So there is lots of flooding going on elsewhere. Hope everyone the best...........SS

BTW, Whein I put Keeper on his run, he usually takes off running. With the ice build up on the cable, he got about 25' before the ice stopped him.

Got a wonderful 2" of rain Sunday and a couple inches of snow yesterday. Froze overnight but warmed and cleared today.

Y'all stay out of the woods now ya' hear?

We are experienced with ice storms here in the Nations. No fun, no power, lots of kids born nine months later. Powerlines down will kill just as much as tornados. Limbs falling will take life like an artillery barrage.

Stay inside and stay cozy there....and name the youngens after someone down here!

I'm east of all that mess. We're starting to get rain from the same system but it's WARM! Right now it's 68 degrees...

We've had a constant mix of rain, snow,sleet,and freezing rain, which started around 3pm,and has been non stop since.

Just been rain with freezing temps. When it hits, it turns solid on what ever it hits. Right after I posted, (shouldn't said it) the power went out and came back on about 9. Wife was a bit PO'd cause she missed her American Idol. Well it was nice and quiet there fer awhile..........SS

OK SS Now iffen ya had some dark chocolate, a glass of wine, a candle and a smile...... she would not mind The American Idol being off the tube as she would have her American Idol in the room with her!

the weather man talked all weekend on how bad it was to be today, just like all the rest of them this year, the peter out before they get here. just a normal Florida rainy afternoon.

We are experiencing RAIN and FLOODING! I was busy with water rescue and pumping basements till I got the call that FIL was taken to the Emergency Room. Don't know what is happening ... but had to go home for the littlest aspeck. Yep, when it rains, it pours!

The power went out again for about an hour but at least ours is back on. The snow did develop and is laying on top of the snow. The roads are okay, but its the parking lots/sidewalks that is going to be roung to handle.

Gotta go start de-icing the van for work. I'll give more details later. May have to start moving things up or out in my shop for the possiblity of flooding.......again.

Same here TD. It was a little windy last night, but nowhere near what they were hyping. They were looking for a big bad cold front, but we're expecting 71deg and sunny today. I guess they're warming up for hurricane season...

Up here all we got was 2 inches of fluffy snow last night. The problem is that after a week of the weather warming up the temps are now down in the cellar again.

I'm spoiled. Summers high 70's low 40's. Winters high 60's low 30's. Get an inch of snow on the ground about once every 10 years.

They were predicting up to ten inches of snow for here last night but it went south of us and we got ZERO! !
Then this mornig I saw a robin and a red wing blackbird. !!!!
Lotsa cars driving around with several inches of snow on them so it didn't miss by much. :redface:

70 mph wind gusts, 2 inches of rain from 430am to 7am on Long Island. Took the long way to work today along the ocean and it looked like a scene from the Perfect Storm. I'm gonna need a dog and a boyscout to find my garbage pails tonite!!

The weather in Texas is great. However I just left Virginia, Mn. yesterday morning at 5 am., temp. -5*. How in the world can people live in temps. like that? But I did get to see my new grand son.

Other than that the weather is cold, snow piled up all over the place, lakes and rivers froze over. IMHO, my prediction is maybe about june the good folks in Virginia, Mn. will be able to partake in out door activities.
