i m living in france , i m working for a friend on an old omc v6 3.8.

my biggest problem is th carburator.

the last owner did only bad things on it .

when he pulled it out , he didn t take any pics or write anything.

he lost parts .

my carburator is : rochester 2 jet n? : 108 31 10

my questions :

1) as you can see on my pics , some parts are not there .

so any one can take pictures of his (the 4 side of the carb ) , like that i can see what s missing.please

like thaht i can order these parts .

if i can t buy it , any one can measure these parts for me , like that i can rebuilt them .

2) there s 2 tubes on the carb side . i don t know where they go .

any one can tell me , please ?

3) when you re looking the tail of the boat , on the left side of the carb , in the manifold intake there s a hole .
in this hole come a part with a tube .

what it is ? what for ?

see the draw :

sorry for my english , have a nice day

Ayuh,.....

If it were Me,.... I'd just go buy a New Carb.......
I really Doubt anybody sells the individual pieces you need...

As for your picture,...
The Vacuum Dashpot is to pull the choke Off, so it needs a linkage to 1 of the 2 holes in the choke rod....
The Black choke pull off should have a linkage going to the other hole in the choke rod,....
The little Tube coming out the other side of it goes to a Choke Stove in the manifold.....
And,....
The Vacuum Port on the top of the carb, Probably is for the Safety Tube, coming from the mechanical Fuel Pump......

In response to where it goes? That tube runs a hose to your fuel pump to keep fuel from lealing into your bilge. Like Bond-o said it looks like you would be better off buying a rebuilt carb. Do not buy new, rebuilt is just as good and alot cheaper.

thanks

ok , i m going to find a new one (rebuilt one) .

do you have any good adressn usa with world shipping ??????

because in france rebuilders think that they re selling gold :mad:

even with a new one , i still have my trouble with the hose coming fron the intake manifold and the one coming from the shoke ?

see the part , the set up is so strange , i think there s a problem.

the last owner could have cut ou close something ?
