82-84 140 hp carbs needed

I am looking for a set of 1982-4 Evinrude 140 hp carburators...crossflows.
Rebuildable or new.

Watch ebay or craigslist,
local newspaper classifieds.
sometimes you can pick up a whole engine for parts less expensive than a set of carbs.

www.tcoutboard.com will have them, but not cheap.

new ones are $150.00 each.

I got a used set on ebay not too long ago - $35 for the set. Just keep looking and be patient.

There is a set on ebay: 250223467463. Note: These don't have choke plates, and don't appear to be drilled for the fuel primer inlets on the top of the carb. I believe the engine that originally had these carbs had the fuel primer solenoid plumbed direct to inlets drilled into the 4 crankcase intake covers, on the sides of the block.
