94 Erude150 "Turn Key nothing" Ignition Issues

So I have a 94 Evinrude XP150 which ran great till last use last summer. The time has come to worry about it, as ice is melting as we speak.

Issue:
When I turn key nothing happens, no clicks, no starter, nothing....

Where do I begin with this?
How can I troubleshoot with a test light?

Don't think it's the starter or relays as nothing happens when key is turned.

Had to troll back in last run, which took an hour and a half.. :redface:

Don't really know boats but not a flat out moron

Any advise is greatly appreciated !!

check the 20 amp fuse in the red fuse holder, near the starter solenoid. it supplies power to the control box, and back to solenoid. lower right side of pic.

You might also want to disconnect the large red plug at the engine and make sure that all of the connections are clean.

Giving a shout out to Tashasdaddy-

You nailed it, $0.75 part stopping me from fishin', can't believe it.

Question is what made it pop and will it happen again, boat is 15 yrs old though, thats an old fuse. Hope thats all it was...

i keep a couple in the boat. you never need them, if you have them.
