control box 2001 mer.90 hp.

Does anyone if I can replace a 16900A15 control box with a 881170A13 w/14 pin -plug and if so would I need anything,I don't how many pins are on the16900A15?

According to my manual no, you could change the harnesses and it would work if you want.
