fiberglass repair

i have a fiber glass boat tha has some chips under the boat is there something that i can buy to fix them so i dont soak water in my boat they are small nicks but i see the fiber glass the paint is off also i want to fix it and smooth it out and paint thanks for your help

MarTex works great. Also, you can use epoxy resin with a filler - a West Marine product.

Fixing the "paint" is going to be hard, you can get a qt of gelcoat, but the process of applying it, blending it, color sanding it, and then polishing it is a bear... Sometimes it's better just to fix the significant chips.

marine tex is legendary in this application......

i would forget about re gellcoating the craft...its a real pita.....if there is a lot of nicks..bangs you might want to repaint the hull after the repair
