question on my johnson 3hp seahorse?

i have a johnson 3 hp seahorse model number jw-10 serial number 1040362 need to know fuel mixture, how to adjust the speeds so it will run at idle if anyone could help me out i would appreciate it. thank you

Welcome to iboats. :)

You put this in the wrong place, so I moved it here.

Your engine was made for 1952 throught 1954. Your fuel mix is 24:1, Spark plugs Champion J6C (replaced J6J) gapped at .030" and mag points set at .020".

Joe Reeves is the master on explaining bow to set the mixtures, so I will let him do that. He should be along soon.

That is a really great little engine. Treat her well and she will please your grandchildren.
