please help my boat is pulling to the right (not trim tabs)

i have a 89 procraft with a mariner 150 and i had a new water pump installed and after that it pulls hard to the right to the point it will just run in circles if i let go of the wheel steering otherwise is not effected.. i adjusted the trim tab all the way to the right and then all the way left and no effect at all.. any ideas on what the problem could be?

Does it pull right when on plane or just while tooling around? My boat will just like fall to the right or left when the bow is up, but once on plane it tracks straight, some boats are just like that.

move rear of tab to the right, in increments till you get it right. removing the tab to drop the lower is all that would cause this.

i tried adjusting the trim tabs both ways and nothing helped..unbolt above the prob then move then bolt down again i tried it full right and fully left and nothing as well as small increments..

I don't even have trim tabs and my 99 procraft will pull the right bigtime even on plane. If I let go of the steering wheel at half or full speed it will surely wreck the boat.

Hold on. There are two types of trim tabs . . . One is vertical and mounted above the prop and straight down from the AV plate. It is designed to offset torque from the propeller that spins only one way. The other is a pair and are mounted to the hull and I don't think are part of this discussion . . . Which one have you played with?

The vertical one is usually what affects steering . . .

Edit: The hull mounted tabs are optional and rare on small boats, the vertical one is on most OBs . . .

Have you tried different speeds with different adjustments? There is no perfect spot. Only lots of kinda maybe OK . . .
