Re: water pump

Yes this is normal. This invention is adapted to be embodied in a marine outboard drive that is comprised of an internal combustion engine having at least one exhaust port. A drive shaft housing and lower unit is adapted to be supported on the transom of an associated watercraft and has a propulsion device that is driven by the engine for propelling the watercraft through a body of water. An underwater exhaust gas discharge is formed in the drive shaft housing and lower unit for discharging exhaust gases to the atmosphere through the body of water in which the watercraft is operating. Exhaust conduit means deliver exhaust gases from the exhaust port to the underwater exhaust gas discharge. Means are responsive to a sensed condition for removing water from above a predetermined position in the exhaust conduit means.

Re: water pump

It's normal. They are exhaust relief ports. Water will "Spit" out of them..
