This is on a 1985 era trailer, ShoreLandr. I replaced the bearings and seals two yrs. ago, using specifications we could piece together from the old parts which were so rusty and shot it was hard to determine. New Seal at that time went in too easy I thought. Now on inspection the races and bearings are damaged, water intrusion. So seal is definitely too loose.
I got the numbers for the parts from ShoreLandr, but since the serial no. on the trailer cannot be found, they estimated what the part numbers would be on that old of a trailer. Got those parts from a local bearing supplier. But again the seal is too loose.
What do I do? The bearings are the right sizes for this spindle but it is the seal that is causing the headaches. Part nos. are "supposed" to be: Timkens LM 67048/11949 bearings and races; CR seal 14977
