There is an old saying that goes, "if you have a good experience with a business, a few may hear about it, if you have a bad experience, EVERYBODY will hear about it." Well, I'd like to prove that saying wrong and tell everybody about a great boat dealer. About a month ago, I decided to purchase my first boat. I went to a boat show and talked to a few different salesmen from different dealers. While I did get some good information, I heard a lot of B.S. touting their boat above all others, true or not. The worst of which was the guy who told me that the capacity plate attached to the boat was really just a conservative guideline and not an absolute maximum for weight or number of people. I have been in sales, and am familiar with all of the tricky little sales techniques salesmen use to close the deal. NOTHING turns me off more than hearing these "sales techniques" and I will often walk a way out of spite even if it is a good deal.
A few days later, I went to Y Marina in Coos Bay, Oregon http://ymarinaboats.com/ just to see what they had. I showed up on a Sunday, not knowing that they were closed on sunday, but the owner was there, and showed me around anyway, even opening up the store for me. To make a long story short, he gave me great information and advice, even talking me out of more expensive boats for ones that would better fit my needs. I knew then that this is the type of company that I wanted to give my business to. When I decided to make the purchase, (a week later), there were no sales techniques, no haggling over price - he cut some of the money off the sticker and gave me a fair price, and great customer service.
Yesterday, I came to realize that my blower was not working, never was, so I gave the service manager a call and explained the situation, and he offered to send me one immediately, or that the next time I came in he would put it in for me. I know that this is something they are responsible for - selling a boat with a working, required safety feature, but in this day and age, it was WONDERFUL not having to argue the fact. In fact, I am heading down there today (same day I called them) for them to put it in for me.
I have no connection with Y Marina other than being a happy customer, but just thought I should give credit where credit is due. They have gained a customer for life. The next time you are along the beautiful Oregon Coast, you owe it to yourself to at least give them a shot.

Yeah, I couldn't be happier. I took it out today and when I pulled in, though I didn't buy it to hear this, it was nice hearing, "Hey, really nice boat. We were watching you out there and you were really moving." I guess I have a little too much modesty to say, "yeah, and I only had it at 3/4 throttle." It is still nice to hear though.

Do you have the 5.0 also. Mine moves pretty good even with a full tank and 6 people. :)

Yep, 5.0. The other day I had it out and hit an indicatied 54 mph (not gps) w/ full fuel full gear, and 2 adults 2 children. I could have probably squeezed another couple mph out of her fine tuning the trim.
Nice boat
