I just ordered a new carb and all looks well besides the fact that my carb has the hot air choke tube entering on side of choke assembly and the new ones inlet nipple is on the bottom. If I bend my tubing to make fit is that okay? Or should I just return it for the correct one?

I dunno, but the make, year, numbers might help the gurus.
And it might be you have the wrong carb, post the info.

Or I was wondering can I cut the aluminum tubing and patck the curb in with some rubber hose as long as I keep the rubber away from exhaust manifold?

Also the carb number is 70291051. I cannot find any marine part number that matches. It is a rochester. Is it common to use other carbs and remanufacture them as marine? It looks the same minus the heat riser inlet. It was bought from marine parts dot com. It was to replace my Rochester 17059053.
