RODBOLT, I will make sure you get the manual back if I have to deliver it myself. Friend in COLLINGTON has it and tried to give it to you at the BLUE CRAB. Could not find you and figured you were thrown out for misbehaving. His son is in PA. recovering from cancer and he is up there now but He has to show up at JOES for a trim sensor sending unit so he will be around.
Am still waiting for your story on how you got into trouble with YAMAHA. Still plan to get married? Son still going to school? regards FRED

Re: returning rodbolts book

sorry to hear about your friends son, glad he is recovering.
did you ever get your 115 running corectly ?
if the price of gas keeps going up I will be rowing my jon boat.
at least oars are relativly easy to trouble shoot.
Ill try to hunt up the merc 115 manual for you, much more informative than the yamaha one.
the gear case section is somewhat different than a yamaha case but all the power head information is better explained in the merc manual than the yamha manual.

Re: returning rodbolts book

F-115 manual is back at the BLUE CRAB. Once again thanks a lot. Motor is running fine now, guess I overacted and blamed YAMAHA with out first investigating. Even figured out what caused the problem. Was towing a larger BAYLINER last summer off for demolition. Very heavy seas came up that evening and fortunately the tow cable sweg let go releasing the tow. Good for me as it was to dangerous to try to unhook the cable bridal on the transom.
Following that my 16 ft. got sunk off the beach in a sudden storm. Washed up on the beach that night and got full of sand and shells along with a 14 in. split in the keel. Retrieved it the next afternoon and it turned out to be the heaviest tow I have done. Thats when the YAMAHA really started complaining and I was fortunate it get the tow home. If you were there you would understand why I had forgotten both incidents. I dont tow anymore, if someone needs assistance I will take the people to shore but rairly put a line on their boat unless it is small. Can get unexpectally dangerous real fast. Better to leave it to SEA TOW or TOW BOAT. regards FRED
