Anybody will be making the annual pilgrimage to the Indy 500 this weekend? or to the overcrowded lakes? Although, I don't think it will be as crowded this year due to $4.00/gal gas. As for me, I am staying home and gonna build a dog house to keep myself occupied.

Not so crowded lake................ I'm hoping. Plan on spending 2 or 3 half days on the water.............well partial days any how. I've got morning projects planned for Sat. and Sunday, but plan on heading out in the early afternoon. We'll most likely stay out till dusk. As for the holiday its self, haven't thought that far out yet:redface:

We won't be on the lakes this year, and as much as I wanted to go to Indy my family said "we wanna go to the beach". So we will be at the beach house at Grayton Beach. Hopefully after a full week of suckin up the rays and a couple of cold ones I can come back to a not so crowded lake and relax again in a nice cove.

I would like to see an all electric Indy. No engine roar. No smell of fuel and oil. Just swish and the smell of ozone.

Gonna visit my big leather recliner, turn on my huge flat screen HDTV and watch the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indy 500.

I really hope Danica wins Indy. It would do for open wheel racing in this country what Nadia Comenic did for gymnastics.

i am headed to the cottage in 2 hours will be up there till tuesday. with 15 assorted relatives staying in tents and pop ups. should be a great weekend, big fish fry sat night then a big turkey ham dinner sunday afternoon.

First launch of the season on Saturday. Hope all goes smooth, I have put a ton of work into her this year in perporation for the season. Chance of rain, but you know weathermen.... Lakes will still be jammed despite gas prices I bet.

Saturday: First official day of fishing on the boat.
Sunday & Monday: Marching in 3 different parades.

Going to be sunny and warm here. (finally) Not taking the boat out though, too many idiots on the water on long weekends here. But I will sit on the shore and do some fishing and watching. A BBQ or two and a nice bomb fire at night.

Nadia, from Romania I think, at 4'10", blew the world away with her performances in the 1960 something Olympics, triggering a great surge in interest and participation in gymnastics that lasts to this day. Hot?? She was a child, for crying out loud.

If Danica, or one of the other women in this year's Indy, were to win I predict that open wheel racing will be back where it was in the 60s. We need a real star to get the public attention.

Yes, Danica is a hottie (I have several grandchildren older) and has a good chance to win. She is fast, has a fast car, a great team leader and is consistent and disciplined. Aggression is not often the ticket at Indy.

No prediction, mind you. There are about 5 racers who are better drivers, but she has beaten them before.

My schedule

Friday, go to work n off at 3pm. 3:15 load van n head to lake. 5pm, fix some pork chops on the grill, 6 pm visit with Dan Tucker rest of evening while doing some fishing n watching some TV.

Saturday, get up and fix some pancakes. Put the fishing poles out. Visit with Dan Tucker for the rest of the day. For supper I'll grill some Nathans hot dogs and continue my visit with Dan Tucker and the fishing poles.

Sunday, pretty much the same as Saturday

Monday, same as Sunday

Yep, I love living on my boat when I can,,,, no matter what the weather does
