Instructions for starting a johnson outboard motor on a Four Winn Horizon Fish and Sk

Hello, back in 2001 my father and I bought a Four Winn's Horizon 170.180 Fish and Ski Boat. We used it alot until 2 years ago. Last year the lake was flooded. Ok, I am heading up to lake and it has not been in the water for over a year. Do you hold the key in to choke it or any suggestion for fast start-up. tried going on line and found nothing under johnson motors. Otherwise, I guess I will call the dealership service dept. and see if they have any suggestions, or get one of the guys at the marina to help us, A bunch of ladies are wanting to go out and I don't want to look stupid. Need help, because the father or a man isn't going to lake with us. I just need some easy instructions on cold starting the motor at the boat ramp. appreicate any suggestions.

The owners manual for my '98 Johnny 150HP says, pump the primer bulb, push in the key and hold it to choke the motor and turn the key to crank it. Whne it starts release the key. If it starts to stall push the key in again.
