Compression and spark are good, so that puts us back on the carbs for a solid square 2.

You'd normally pull the jets to clean them, and the passage behind them during a rebuild. You'd also pull the core plug that sits over the idle circuits and clean those out.

I think if you reset the floats, double-check the jet sizes and thoroughly clean out the idle circuits it should do just fine.

If you really have compression at or over 150 you may want to find out why. In the long run that's not going to be a good thing. The cause of the high compression could be contributing to the bad idle.
