:confused:I just bought a 1991 alumacraft classic deluxe 16' 3", I read most of the stories on plugs. I am still not sure if I get it. Boat has 4 holes in the back only one has a plug (drain), when I am out in the water I pump water out (bilge) for about 2 minutes every 2 hours. I called the owner back (very nice old guy) and he said, only one plug in the back plus the live well plug, but live well has not been working and no water going in and out. I read about gluvit but I am not sure if I am missing something simple and stupid. It is a very nice boat with yamaha 40 hp, I just would like to fix this problem. Thanks

The "back" you are refering to must be the transom. A photo might help. Hard to tell with our seeing...

You should be able to look into the bilge area and see where that amount of water is coming from. With a non-functional live well, it is very possible the water intake line to the pump, or the outlet line from the pump is cracked or disconnected. The intake is one of the hole in the back and as such is below the water line. Therefore if a line is disconnected or broken it will put water in the bilge.
