That would be a Viking, sold through Eaton's Department Stores in Canada. Not sure who made them in 1961. Most of the ones I've seen were built by OMC's Gale Products Division, and as such were quite similar to Evinrude and Johnsons of the same era. I'm not sure if West Bend got some of theirs labeled as Vikings or not. I don't have my Peter Hunn book handy to look it up...

Probably a Gale. Post the model number and we can tell for sure what you have.
