Hello, I recently picked up a 56' 5 1/2 that is seized, I popped out the one piston and had to press out the other. The crank and the rest of the internals look near perfect. Is there a rebuild/piston kit for these? I also will need the rest of the parts also ie: impeller kit, head gasket, seals etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am rebuilding this for my dad as he had one many years ago. Thanks Eric

Look for a used powerhead. It will be much cheaper.

You said it! Besides, just finding those pistons and rings will be a challenge, I think. Lots of 5.5s around and they're not really expensive.

I have found a set of 20 over pistons, now I need to find the rings for them. Anyone have a set of 20 over rings?

Or a powerhead that has really good compression.

You can't buy or sell here. There is a separate section for classifieds. Lots of those little guys around. Best/fastest thing to do is post a free classified ad over at AOMCI.org. Some one there will have one for sale at a reasonable price.

Good luck with it. Also, if you get a used powerhead, compression is typically in the 80's psi, but they can run fine down into the 50's. I've never seen one above 90 psi, but I hear they exist.
