I have a 56 Johnson 7.5 hp motor that came without a gas tank. I just purchased a omc outboard pressurized fuel tank with 2 lines will this tank work?

My biggest concern on the Mile Master fuel system there is like a pressure pump looking thing on the tank itself and the one i got on ebay does not however it does state that it is a pressureized tank do i just install a manual one the fuel line itself?

Do you have a picture? There should be no pressure pump type thingy on it. There should be a button (black or silver) to press to prime the carb though. This does not build up pressure in the tank, it only manually pumps fuel to the carb.

If it IS a pressurized, 2-line tank, it WILL have a primer button to prime the engine. Then the ENGINE will pressurize the tank, not the primer button. As long as it actually is a 2-line tank, you will be good to go.
Good luck,

Your dual line pressure tank should look like this. The primer button will either be like the one in the picture (Silver) or will be a small black button.

Ok so im great on the tank issue. Thank everyone for all your help! Now here is my next one. What does the hookup looklike for the attachemnt at the end of the fuel line hose? On the motor there is just 2 bare fuel lines one for the carb and one for the return. I noticed on the tank fuel line there is a "coupler" i guess what does that attach to

rowescot,

Do you mean the male or female adapter. Check the pics, male is on the motor and female on the hose.

The connectors are over $100 new so look for em used. You also could direct connect the tank like the last person did if you cant find em.

I thought this said he has the female one on the hose ("coupler"). rowescot, I sent you a PM concerning the male part.

I am trying to get an AD-11 7.5 HP Johnsom OB motor going also and need a tank. Any idea where the best (lowest price) place to buy one is?
