I see a dual battery switch listed as an option on some new boats including the Hurricane deck boats I am considering. Is this something I should consider?
If your considering installing a high wattage stereo w/amp or extra high wattage lighting or anything that would seriously drain your battery while in use for a while w/out the motor running then yes, I would seriously consider a secondary battery and switch. Maybe even a combiner to make things more simplified. Perhaps something like this:
