We have a 2 HP Evinrude that won't idle. We rebuilt the carb and spent a lot of time adjusting the rich/lean but she just won't idle.
I took the side cover off and on the compression you can see a 'lot' of leakage and feel hardly any resistance when you turn it manually.
I pulled the piston to inspect the rings - hard to say if the rings are worn.
Any suggestions?
Also, heh heh - how do you get all the little bearings back that sit on the crank? That was unexpected.
