i got a yamaha 40 .with a jet pump ,model no. 40sfjd ,have i got 40hp at the head or at the. pump Gale

Should be 40 at the pump and 60 at the powerhead. I have an 80HP that is 115 at the powerhead.

boy am I mixed up,got two dealors saying iy is head hp , two dealord saying it is at the jet ,what to do where is all of the expert advice when i need it .all help is appreacited . thanks guys
