My engine started running really bad this weekend. I changed the plugs and it did not do any good. Here are the symptoms.

I start it up and when I put it in gear to take off it wont go much faster than an idle. I can pull the GAS line off and let it run for just a second. Man it takes off like a rocket until it runs out of gas that is in the carb. I hook the line back up and it does the same thing again ???

I tightened all the clamps on the hose line. I have cracked the cap where theres no pressure on the tank. It acts like it is getting too much fuel with the gas line on. I just dont understand ???

Re: Help with yamaha 25

check the compression, could be that your float valve is stuck open, the float level needs correction - carb work is what is needed.
