5.0L A1Gen2 merc, power steering oscillates at low speed

I have a '92 5.0 A1GenII and replaced the steering pump and at no wake speeds the boat steers from side to side and the steering is difficult. There appears to be some play at the connection where the steering cable attaches to the control valve. is there a adjustment to the system?

I am thinking that what you are referring to is the Idle wander, that comes with an I/O boat. Mine does the same, at low speed speeds, its harder to keep it straight and everyone I have ever talked to with an I/O states this.

It is possible you have a problem, but my guess you are referring to what I stated.
