No tilt

I have a Johnson 100hp 1972, model No: 100ESL72R, serial No: A99497. The problem is the tilt does not tilt up or down. I can hear the tilt motor going when I flick the switch but does not tilt. I have an idea that it might need hydraulic fluid but I am not sure where I have to put it in. Please help thanks

I have the same unit and I went through the same thing last week but with the help of these guys I was able to fix mine although it did take me a couple of days to get it going. You should go read my post about what I had to do as they are hard to bleed. Anyway you put the fluid in the resivoir on the bottom you will see a thumb screw sticking out on the side, take that out and put the fluid in there.
