drive shaft wear on 1996 150 ocean runner

while changing the water pump I located a wear ring on the drive shaft. The shaft moves around alot but the top bearing appears to be in good shape. I plan on replacing the bearijng anyway. Is the saft okay with a slight wear ring. Any advice is appreciated.

I actually have to wear rings. One is in the area wear the shaft leaves the top of the water pump and the second ring is at the seal over the bearing that is located under the water pump. Thanks for replying
