Well, I don't live on a lake although I would like to someday. Right now I have to live where the job is. But, I do go to this lake quite often:

But, I really love to go to the Iowa Lakes region. Spirit Lake and Okoboji lake are nice places and are surrounded by nice communities. Here is info and a web cam on them.

these are the coordinates on google earth to my cabin on middleton lake, newfoundland canada. it's a small lake but the trout fishing is great. actually i'm the only one with a boat on the lake so i got the whole place to myself. it's such a small lake but the water on the western end of that island is almost 100 feet deep. amazing.

I boat the Lake Winnebago system, launching out of Fond du Lac.

Just google the north end of Vancover Island. East coast/ West coast /Main land its all good.
