Anyone here run seafoam on a 2 stroke? Last I used it was on an inboard with anormal carb and crank case, how do you guys run seafoam through a 2 stroke with side draft carbs? Do you guys just dump it in the gas tank?

Use Seafoam? Sure! Add to your normal fuel mix. Don't substitute the seaform for the normal amount of oil. Deepcreep is the spray version that you'd spray directly into the carb throat. Follow the destructions on both versions.

Re: SeaFoam...

this is the way i do it. seafoam liguid and deep creep are the same product, just deep creek is spray under pressure.
Decarb, take a can of seafoam put 3/4 of it in the gas tank, with only 1 gallon of premixed gas. put the rest in a spray bottle. start the engine, and let it come up to temperature. then remove plugs, and them some real good shot of seafoam into the cylinders, replace plugs, let sit 15 minutes. restart, and spray the rest of the seafoam into the carbs, so the the motor almost stalls, wait and repeat until the seafoam is gone.then take for a wide open spin. then put in new plugs, ad premixed gas to the tank, and take it for a wide open throttle spin. it is going to smoke like a house on fire, during this process.

afterwards compression.recheck

then add liquid to fuel tank as suggested.

Re: SeaFoam...

ya don't need to replace the plugs unless it's time to, the treatment also cleans the plugs...decarb every 75-100 hrs. run sea foam in your gas tank when ever you fill up and you'll not have much carbon to decarb!

Re: SeaFoam...

If you haven't figured it out yet, there's a couple of ways to use seafoam.

1) As a fuel additive to keep your carbs and combustion chamber clean as part of normal operations. Use the directions on the can for proper amounts.

2) As part of a decarb procedure. Even if you do #1, you'll want to decarb from time-to-time. Follow TashasD instructions for the decarb.

Seafoam is a great product and a definite life-extender for two-strokes.

Re: SeaFoam...

Jedi, would you use Seafoam in the crankcase of your I/O's?

I have just recently got one and have mainly had outboards. I run the seafoam with my fuel, but was wondering????

I run seafoam in the crankcase of most of my 4-stroke whatevers. Again, follow the directions on the can. Saved me replacing a couple of hydraulic lifters for sure.
