Newbie-1998 Mariner 115 Oil Module Question

New to the forum today and in search of help/information on my engine.
Bought a Mako 17 last year.
The engine is a 1998 Mariner 115 4 cyl. carb oil injected.
The motor runs extremely well, however it has no audible warning alarm at start-up. I haven't grounded out the temperature sensor or the on-engine oil level sensor to see if it really works-maybe tomorrow night if it stops raining.
From what I have read around the web this motor may or may not have an oil control module. The motor serial number tag is unreadable and I cannot find the serial number on the block either.
I have a repair manual (not a factory book) but it does not give a location for the module, nor does it say it might not have one. Some one told me it is on the port side of the engine but the block is clean on that side. Could it be located on the starboard side under the oil tank? (if it has one?) I have not had the time to take off the tank and or trace the wiring.
It drives me nuts when any system is down or has been disabled-it was put there for a reason.
I may be jumping the gun and it may be fine but it seems to me that it should sound off when the engine is started, as a self test.
Any help in locating the module or any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Follow the tan wire from the heat sender and the blue from the oil tank they will lead you to the module if you have one

Thank You Laddies

Thank You Laddies

Finally got to tracing wiring last night-removed oil tank and there was no oil warning module. Traced brown/blue to warning horn. Put twelve volts to horn and got it to click. Replaced it with a radio shack piezo two tone buzzer 105db which is well protected under the console. This alarm will not go unheard.
It is loud enough to awaken the dead.
Of course with this type of a factory setup there is no alarm self test on startup but you can't have it all.
Thanks again
