Malibu Wakesetter and V-drive question

First off, my family are seriously considering purchasing a 2000 Malibu 23' Wakesetter Escape, any thoughts? Secondly the lake that we frequently use requires us to "beach" our boat when we want to go to shore. Is this going to be a serious problem considering that this boat is a V-drive. Do V-drives have have any trim control, like say an inboard/outboard? Any thoughts that anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

they are deep water boats, no trim. prop and shaft are fixed. so you would be plowing to beach, unless you have a very steep drop off. they are great ski and wakeboard boats. require special trailer, also.

I'm guessing that plowing the beach could result in some problems?

I love the Malibu Wakesetter's. They are really nice boats with a lot of bling, but if I knew that I was going to do a lot of beaching, then I would stay away from any V-drive or direct-drive boat. You should be able to still get a nice wake out of a V8 I/O, and you will be able to beach the I/O.
