Engine stall

so i went out to take the boat out tonight, ran fine at idle speed. as soon as i left the marina, i went to kick it up and it stalled on me. After that, anytime i turned the key, i got nothing but a clicking noise from the engine compartment. Wouldnt' try to turn over or anything. I was thinking fuse problem or alt. problem? Any ideas? 224 HP Volvo

Could be a lot of things from what you described. Start at the battery, have it load tested. If okay, charge it and move on to alt., check charge when running. Should be 13.5-14.5 volts. Usually clicking from engine when keyswitch is to starter is a dead battery.

You might want to pull the plugs to inure you have no water intrusion.....
