I have a 10 year old Sea Rayder jet boat, 90 horse mercury jet boat engine. I can start the engine and it seems to run smoothly. However, when I give it gas it barely goes faster than an idle. I checked the gas filter and it was clean. I pulled the gas line off the carb and gas does come out while cranking, although it doesn't look like much of a flow rate. (I'm used the the spurting that a car fuel pump would put out and it seems to be much less than that.) I pulled one of the three plug wires and started it up and it ran somewhat worse. The plugs looked clean and not gas fouled. I checked the throttle linkage and it is working properly giving me a full swing on the linkage.
Any suggestions on what to check next?
