My Daughters were using the boat this weekend and the low oil warning light came on and they kept running the boat until the engine quit. I added oil and the engine will crank over and fire, but it quits right away. There was still about a quart of oil in the reservoir. Is there a reset sequance or did they blow up the enging?

Low Oil should be OK, it is just as it implies, the Oil is LOW, not there is none, but to be sure, get a compression check done, also make sure the really obvious things are OK, like Battery good, primer bulb hard, fuel in tank, the very basics first off. OH and you are sure it was a "LOW OIL" alarm?

My oil tank will sound an alarm with 2 quarts, guess it just likes to be full.

thank you for the reply. No I am not sure that the Low Oil Alarm was going off. My daughters were driving it and they have a tendency to not really care what is going on except what is the most fun.

Check your computer codes. The SELOC manual says that code 35 is "Oil pressure loss, switch/circuit malfunction". This should engage the "No Oil" light on the console. Is your no oil light lit? Fill the oil tank and manually clear the code from the computer and see if it will respond.
