So I get to "watch" this boat for the next 2 years. It's a 1989 Fisher SV2 running a Mariner 45 with "Oil Injection". It may run, or not. I don't have any real experience working on an outboard.
So, how do I go about firing it up (trying at least) without burning something up. I assume that there is a pick-up port for cooling water, right? I think I still have a fake-a-lake that I used on my old wakeboat. Can I make that work.
I just got the boat Thurs. night so I haven't had a chance to check it out in the light. I'm gonna go poke around a bit right now, look for the f-a-l too.
Thanks,
Brian
