I have a 1988 14 hp Evinrude that has not been started in a year.

Could someone answer this question for me?

I cannot remember if the discharge for the cooling water is on the back left corner of the motor, looking from the front of the motor, or if the motor eliminates the used cooling water from the motor via the large port on half way up the shaft of the motor.

I have had the carb and fuel pump rebuilt and the plugs have good spark, but the motor is still difficult to start. Any suggestions on what to look at next?

Thanks

New gas on Thursday and the engine fired on Thursday evening. Took boat to the lake and tried on Friday and Saturday and all I have to show for it is a raw spot on my finger:confused:

Found the nipple thanks. That is were my memory of the exit was located.
