Max HP for a OMC Cobra drive?

Can anyone tell me where I would find the maximum horse power the OMC Cobra drive will handle. (1995 year)

Max HP as in "what happens if I install hop-up parts" or max HP as in "can I install a bigger engine"? Also, what model number on the drive?

That should be fine. You have the joint venture Volvo/OMC drive more than likely and that drive has been bolted up to big blocks.

If you have the raw water pump on the front of your engine, and not the drive, you have the "good" drive.

351's were stock on some Cobra drives, mine is a 351. 300HP @ the flywheel sounds about right, I wonder what the actual HP at the prop is.
