Can't seem to get ignition working... there are too loose wires (red, black) at front of motor not hooked up to anything. Battery is hooked up, not sure about where the wires go on the ignition switch either. Can anyone help? I can e-mail pictures if needed.

What does that mean "Can't seem to get ignition working"?

Those two wires..... do they lead from the engine/instrument wiring harness, OR are they leading from some other source? Red is usually a voltage source and if 12 volts is present at that wire, it would be attached to the "B" (battery) terminal of the ignition switch.

A Black is usually always ground and would attach to one of the "M" terminals of the ignition switch BUT this depends on whether someone has wired in that wire from elsewhere. One needs to know exactly what the other end of that wire is attached to.

Does the engine crank over but you have no spark. You turn the key and nothing happens, the electric starter doesn't engage. We need for you to describe exactly the problem you're having.

FR I will send the pics when I get home.

Joe,
Turning the key does nothing because the black and red wires don't look to be hooked up anywhere in the motor. The ignition wires run right into the motor but the red and black aren't hooked up inside the motor, the green is and the wires for the kill switch are wired as well and the kill switch works. I have the leads hooked up to the battery.
On the ignition switch, I'm not sure where the green wire hooks up to the switch. I can send you the pictures if you give me your e-mail.

Thanks,
Kevin

What are the terminals marked on the back of the ignition switch?

Joe, he sent me the pictures. He has a battery ignition switch. I told him he has the wrong switch and sent him a wiring diagram.
