Backround:
Just replaced shift cable. Shift linkage was stuck in forward. Replaced gear oil, waited a couple days, eased linkage into neutral with small amount of force. Then same into reverse. Replaced broken shift cable. Put control box back together.
I know one may not have to do with the other, but I wanted to give you a little backround. Now, I take the boat out and it's idling fine. Kick the boat into reverse, moves fine. Hit forward, moves forward fine. Move throttle forward, boat begins to accelerate then stalls. Do this like ten times same thing. I did get it up and moving two or three times at WOT, but boat only reached approx. 3000 rpm and 8 mph. The bulb on the gas tank did not feel squishy, on the contrary it was very hard. Felt like I couldn't even pump it sometimes. When idling waiting forever for ramp to clear, boat almost stalled. Pumped primer bulb(still very hard) and motor revved up again. Seems to be some sort of fuel starvation.
Last time I took it out, about a month ago, everythin was fine (except I couldn't go in reverse).
Any suggestions?
