1989 e-rude 88hp to 115hp ?

Could a 1989-91 evinrude 115hp v4 flatback match a 1989 evinrude 88hp lower unit?, Or would the ignition wiring be the same?, carbs too small for something like this? thanks in advanced..

I talked to a local shop they said a evinrude v-4 powerhead from 1989-91 115hp will match a 1989 88hp lower unit as long as 88 hp carbs match I'm back in the saddle again.

Are you trying to change the powerhead or the lower unit?

The lower units are the same. The powerheads will interchange and either set of carbs will work fine on either powerhead.

I'm trying to swap powerheads I wasn't sure if it would work the way my luck goes. Thats good news the carbs from the 88hp to 115hp will work.

I've looked at this website for maybe 5 years and finally loged on. I'm learning alot.
