What year is my Johnson 3 hp. and what is with all the white smoke?

I have a Johnson 3 hp motor that was made in Belgium and has the model number J3RTB and the serial number B 08991612. Does anybody know the year of this model. I am looking to sell it. I got it running but there was an awful amount of white smoke!

They do smoke alot when they have been waken from a long sleep. Try running it in the barrel for a while (like 45 minutes) and see if it goes away.

Smoke ??? or could it have been steam ????

Did you put fresh fuel in it ???
