I have a 96 Mercruiser inboard that I am having problems with. While out on the water yesterday I was crusing at 35 to 40 mph when my forward momentum just stopped. Like I had put the shifter into neutral. The motor was still at 2500 to 3000 RPM's but I wasn't moving anywhere. I put it in neutral and then barly back into forward and I made it back to the dock going around 5 mph. Every time I would try and push down on the throttle the motor would again rev up as normal but I would not go any faster? Please Help!
