i got a problem

I have a 150hp Mercury and the water pump keeps going out on it. What could be the problem?

Where are you driving it? Do you ever crank or pop-off the engine without water supplied to it? Are you using good parts?

drop leg turn prop with power drill and see it shaft is bent this will eat up impellar

If the grommets on the water tube that is under the pump base are leaking the pump will suck exhaust and burn the impeller up.
