Just started using a 1995 two-stroke 50HP (3-cyl). Starts up fine, there is oil smoke from the exhaust and water leaving the cooling line. Able to take the boat around the harbor at low throttle but after about 5-10mins of the motor running a constant alarm sounds from the controls. Any idea of what this signifies? Overheating?
I will attempt to disconnect the oil tank wires and see if this helps. Motor appears to run fine and sounds good but I have not cranked up the throttle or taken the boat into open sea until I know what this means.
