1989 30hp ya, - power upgrades?

Just wondering if the 30 yam is a restricted 40 - 50 etc.. I know of some engines that mearly had a restrictor plate or different jets... Is this the case with an '89 30hp? Can it be bumped to a 40 or 50?

nope, it is not a detuned motor, but there is a couple of mods that can be done to this motor, but I would not do that to a 19 year old motor ....

thanks, I'll just leave it be. It running great right now anyway, was just wondering. May add some reeds over the winter though.
