Need Help locating the tell tale on a 4 hp

As the title says, I can not find the tell tale for the water cirulation. Is it possible this motor does not have one like all the others? It is a 1980 Mercury 4 hp 2 cyl. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've looked in my parts listings and it does indeed appear that your engine doesn't have a telltale! Just make sure you have a bit of a spray of water coming out of the exhaust reliefs. You'll find them on the back of the driveshaft housing, near the top, just below the powerhead.

You are the man, thanks for the quick reply. I do have a good spray coming out of the exhaust. I just have to rebuild the carb now and it should be ready for a water test.
