Anyone know the type of plastic a distributor is made from? One of my spark plug collars has chipped off one side. The rubber insulator still covers it but I want to glue the piece back on. $265 for a new one isn't going to happen

I don't have any idea on the plastic, but the guy at laingsoutboards.com is really helpful. I call him on the phone and he always takes care of me.

Whatever it is, JB Weld should work. I use Dynatex Quick Weld Compound and my last job was the thermostat return line. It has lasted all season heating up and cooling down.
