engine colour

hi all i recently purchased a 25hp johnson i think its a 1996 model ( the compliance plate is missing) the engine colour is green is this an original colour

I have seen white,blue and black and gold but never green, probably been repainted.

look for a quater disc on the block, should have some #s on it. what are they.

1996 should be white. The 25 hp was green from about 1967 to 1976. Can you post a photo?
