I have a 1982 150 evinrude. i am worried that i have no water coming out of the motor.. i replaced the water pump and still no water.. i took the cover off and found that the hose for the water was cut. i have no idea whear it should be i belive that it needs to be on one of the heads but i can not find any place for it.. if any ideas plase let me know.. thank you ....

The cut hose under the cowling may be the telltale hose. That hose should run from the nipple on the rear exhaust cover, up to the top of the engine, then back down to the lower cowling nipple. When you start the engine, you should see water streaming out that rear nipple. If you have no water there, your pump may not be functioning properly and you need to shut it down.

hi ems you should have small hose in flat ex plate that goes to lower cowl
better change waterpump before you do anything these 150s dont like heat
they will burn up by the time you here your warning buzzer its gone
dont ask how i know ,but it cost me 2500 to find out

the only hose on the 150 other than fuel lines and recirc lines is the taletale
you need to make sure when you put your lower back on that your guide tube and line are in place iuse alittle dawn on mine ,if ya still have no water clean tell tell line pull heads check deflectors and pull thermo covers first
replace thermos and poppetts after flushing, its worth it

yes. the pee hole is the one with the hose cut off.. the thang is that i don't know whear the hose should hook up to the heads for the water to exit.. that is what im looking for...

back of motor flat exhaust cover should be. tapped hole in ex cover in bottom right .small 1/4 npt fitting that goes to lower cowl fitting for outlet
of water
