brakes are draging

Have a surge brake system an boat trailer recently put in new pads I think i got them adjusted right at first now about a month later they are both draging real bad maby they need more adjusting , any ideas thanks

I am not sure what you mean by adjusting the brakes. There is no adjustment to be made to disc brakes. Are you sure that your coupler is made for disc and not drum brakes. A coupler made for drum brakes will maintain some pressure in the line.

Believe it or not, brakes need greasing every so often. The disk support rails will build up brake dust and may cause the disk assembly to not release from the disks. My suggestion is to remove the wheel and disassemble the brake assembly to get to the supporting surfaces of the caliper. You said that you replaced the pads so if there wasn't any cleaning done then there is some build up of brake dust and probably rust as well.

A picture would also help to see what you are starting with.

Another issue is as brake pads wear, the pistons move closer to the rotor. If the fluid has any moisture in it or if any corrosion or varnish has build up behind the piston, when that piston is pushed back to allow room for the new pads, they can stick.
